Thank you and we look forward to seeing you April 16-18!

Join colleagues and friends as we gather in New Orleans for 2 days of ideas, insights, inspiration — and an anniversary reflection!

AFN’s 2024 biennial conference will take place during our 20th anniversary, offering a unique milestone to convene a diverse group of grantmakers joined in a common purpose: advancing equitable wealth building and economic equity.

The conference theme, “Centering Economic Equity: The Power of Intentionality,” invites funders of all sizes and strategies to reflect on the past two decades in asset-building philanthropy and imagine a future where greater commitment, clarity, and collaboration can drive transformational impact.

Why Attend?

We believe that philanthropic solutions to equitably advance economic mobility require insights, knowledge, and connected approaches forged among a diverse network of colleagues and peers.

Connect with the leaders, innovators and disruptors changing the landscape of equitable wealth-building. Explore the milestones and invaluable lessons that have molded the field. Strengthen and expand your network of collaborative relationships and pinpoint actionable steps to reaffirm your commitment to economic equity. Shape the future by exchanging thought-provoking ideas with colleagues around the country.

And have fun as we reflect and celebrate together in the great city of New Orleans!

Why New Orleans?

As we gather to commemorate our 20th anniversary, we recognize New Orleans as a symbol of our collective journey toward economic justice and recognize the imperative challenges posed by climate change. We will be highlighting the vital role played by our state and regional chapters, particularly Louisiana-AFN, which will mark its 5th anniversary and is coordinating the pre-conference on Tuesday.

Our host city offers attendees a convenient, welcoming, and unique environment. Enjoy the city’s extraordinary cuisine, music, culture, and charm, and experience the innovation found within its diverse population, geography and economy. Let us gather in this remarkable city to honor our achievements, acknowledge our challenges, and envision a future where economic equity takes center stage.
